A while ago we had a chat with Victoria Gomoti AKA Vicky the voice. VICKY is known for her silky voice and unique vocal texture. What's more, Vicky is a friend of the house. So on this chil day, we decided to have this conversation and it was a cool one.

Rayscorner: It is certainly a privilege to have you on our interview segment
Vicky: Thank you for having me.
Rayscorner: so vicky, i feel like every one who likes music, knows who you are, but can you tell us your Full name?
Vicky: My full name is Victoria Ebi Gomoti
Rayscorner: Your stage name Vicky, is it a deliberate attempt to simulate your simplicity as a person? I mean, i stand corrected, but i feel like you are a very simple person in real life...
Vicky: Oh yes! I believe it is the best way for people to remember as well. also that is what everyone knows me as, so it is easier to stick with what everyone already knows.
Rayscorner: I have heard you sing, many times than i care to recount and it is definitely a force to reckon with, one would argue that by now you should have like 5 albums. what is holding you back?
Vicky: Thank you, Oh well, i should say SPONSORSHIP. It is not just about putting out a song or songs, but more about the push. But i am making plans soon, Fingers Crossed.
Rayscorner: With your kind of voice, you can sing almost anything, so is deliberate that you do this style of singing?
Vicky: I will not say it is very deliberate. The pattern as we speak is what naturally comes to me, i just flow with that, ofcourse i am exploring other areas and loving it these days. So yea.
Rayscorner: I am sure your fans would like to know, if you are single, married, or if you think they should mind their business. lol
Vicky: I am a single pringle....lol
Rayscorner: I am not sure i have seen you in any acting Gig, would you ever consider acting? You know, like Chike and others.
Vicky: Never Acted before, still very afraid of cameras, it is unbelievable coming from someone like me right? But you never know, i am open to it.
Rayscorner: If you had to pick from a shelf,which Nigerian Artist would you like to collaborate with
Vicky: I love Davido, So Yes! Davido.
Rayscorner: The music industry is a particulary tough one, especially for women. Even if you have a great voice like you do. So, what are the challenges you have faced so far, and how did you Navigate through them?
Vicky: It is a marathon, a lot of promises, but no implementation. and a couple of other reasons. How i navigate though? I just keep going , regardless. I get exhausted, but i keep moving. My Family encourages me as well. So Yes, Good Support System.
Rayscorner: That is so true, you can always count on family.
So Nudity in the industry is now like a prerequisite.. would you ever get naked for an album cover? and is there a price?
Vicky: No, i will not.
Rayscorner: So what do you think the women should do differently?
Vicky: should we even say what the women should do? The women are already doing so much, we have to sing , dance, deemed sex symbols and the likes. So you see, we are doing a lot!

Rayscorner: Lastly , what advice would you give to upcoming singers and Musicians?
Vicky: When you have a dream, it is yours, not for another man, so everyone will not fully understand it. So do not allow people to extend their insecurities onto you and what you stand for. Time and Chance, it will work out in the end.
