Kotrell, born, Atonopriya Cotterell , is an Afro pop-soul artist and producer currently based in Lagos, Nigeria. His sound is a fusion of different elements from soul and pop.   Kotrell's soulful voice and unique ability to paint mental pictures with music and provoke emotions in such a seemingly effortless way makes him an artiste to look out for. 

He started writing songs at age 9, making his first studio record at age 11. Young Kotrell started off as rapper while in Secondary School, however, his journey through the world of soul and alternative music began in 2015. 

Kotrell moved on to have his first sold-out solo show "Kotrell Live in Concert" in 2018  while studying Economics at Bowen University, earning him multiple music award nominations. Kotrell, known for delivering breath taking and emotionally provocative performances  has shared the stage with the likes of Ric Hassani, Johnny Drille, Praiz, Timi Dakolo, Cill, and Ladipoe, to mention a few. 

His professional career kicked off in 2020 when he released his debut single "Now and Always" which was quite a success. The song tells a compelling romance story and is just the right love letter for your special someone. Since then he has continued to evolve as a singer/songwriter, performer, and recording artiste while citing influences from Akon, Ed Sheeran, khalid, and his older brother Edmond Cotterell.
