Avicci's The Nights has lived rent free inside my head for months now.
It's Sad, It's Melodious, it's Reflective, It's Optimistic, It's Simple, yet Multilayered. It is laid back yet subtly instructive.
Looking back to my earlier years remembering people who lost their lives on the way, I often wonder where they really are.
I wonder if they have regrets about things they didn't do, places they didn't visit, lips they didn't kiss, songs they didn't sing.
Would they have done anything different?
The final realisation is that all we truly have is now. The present.
The future isn't necessarily promised you never know for sure what comes tomorrow.
But you can choose not to be trapped by the uncertainties that lie ahead.
I think I want to visit exotic places and taste their cuisines, drink their best wine and sway to their local ballads.
So right now, all I want to be is happy .. Live a quiet life with no stress.
A few loved ones and a career that brings fulfilment.
I Want to help people struggling with physical and mental frailties get better.
Listen to strangers unburden their aching hearts.
Hold the hands of people learning to walk again.
I want to make the pain go away.
I want to own my flaws and shortcomings and go on a journey to becoming the best version of me.
That way, I can love and be loved better.
I recognize that trials will always come yet I want to be calm in the eyes of the storm.
I will work it out, and I will make things better.
I want to experience God for myself at all times.
To love and know him more
To serve him in ways he wants me to
And that people may see him in me, my words, thought and actions.
